Livestock and Equine Lead

We are looking for a Livestock and Equine Lead to join the Lincolnshire Showground team.
The venue is home to the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, who organise a range of agricultural events, including Countryside Lincs, Farmers Conference, Food and Gift, and our flagship event, The Lincolnshire Show.
Lincolnshire Agricultural Society is a charity, and their main objectives are to promote food, farming and the countryside.
**Job Role**:
Reporting to the Head of Charity you will be required to:
- Oversee and complete the planning, implementation and running of the equine section of the annual Lincolnshire Show.
- Lead on the planning, implementation and running of the livestock section for the Show and other LAS events.
- Support the Head of Charity, CEO, Board of Trustees and other staff as required to ensure effective delivery of the aims, objectives and activities of the Society.
**Responsibilities**:
- Minute taking and actioning matters from Livestock and Equine Committee Meetings, including production of ring programmes
- Preparing/ordering requirements for the Show in connection with the livestock and equine section e.g., rosettes, show jumps etc.
- Corresponding with DEFRA and Scottish Agricultural College regarding various animal health schemes and ensuring all requirements are met prior to the holding of the Show.
- In consultation with Chief Stewards, inviting all judges, stewards and livestock/equine related specialist Show staff. Dealing with judge’s accommodation and expenses.
- Updating and sending out of schedules annually
- Preparing and updating entry forms and mailing to previous year’s exhibitors
- Work alongside CEO and Head of Charity in completing equine and livestock movement control paperwork.
- Help check all entries and inputting data online.
- Deal with telephone enquiries regarding the equine section and livestock (where needed). Sending out all passes, exhibitor numbers, etc.
- Collect data for production of Show Catalogue
- Preparing judges’ books, commentator notes, trophy and ring running lists, stable lists, lists of accredited cattle etc. Compile lists of passport numbers for biosecurity and trading standards
- Checking results post-Show and preparing for prize monies and statements. Checking engraving for trophies and providing results for all Breed Societies.
In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform general office work and other duties assigned by the CEO, Head of Charity, Show team and Senior Management.
**Experience and skills**:
- Equine experience is essential, livestock experience is desirable.
- Excellent administration skills
- Customer focused.
- Computer literate
- Experience working in events (desirable)
- Knowledge of Showing Scene (desirable)
