Visa Consulting and Analytics, VC&A is the consulting arm of Visa, and drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa’s network clients, including both financial services and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, Visa Consulting and Analytics solves the most strategic problems for our clients.
Visa Managed Services (VMS) is an augmentation of Visa’s consultancy offering, supporting the execution and implementation of recommendations to help scale competitive advantage and operate to succeed in the digital age. We are looking for an experienced **Programme Lead** to join the VMS team in an important Visa client the UK.
Coming from a strong consulting and payments background, the VMS Programme Lead will have responsibility for the successful execution of a programme of Visa related projects within an important Visa client. Working closely with both client and Visa personnel, the Programme Lead will have accountability for ensuring the delivered project outcomes are aligned against both the clients and Visa’s objectives across all aspects of delivery, including defining the requirements, scoping, training, migration/implementation, project planning, risk management, project controls, and stakeholder management (e.g. programme management, stakeholder engagement, programme governance etc) ensuring that industry best practice is utilised in the design and execution of deliverables.
The VMS Programme Lead will be embedded into the client team, working with client programme management teams, whilst reporting in to the Head of Visa Consulting & Analytics - UK&I, and the Head of Visa Managed Services in London.
**What is expected of you, day to day**:
- Provide high level visibility and drive strategic initiatives for the programme, reporting progress into UK&I VCA and VMS functions, maintaining governance and oversight
- Leading the deployed Visa team and project managing the delivery strategies of developed solutions with a true entrepreneurial spirit. Ensure collaboration and overall integration between programme tracks
- Understand our clients’ business objectives, needs, plans, etc. together with the UK&I Account Management Team
- Identify opportunities and improvements to grow the business of both Visa and the client
- Develop and propose appropriate project approaches and business solutions to the client
- Provide Thought Leadership knowledge regarding the future of payment and retail banking to our client
- Leverage Visa’s innovation, product and data capabilities to further grow our clients’ business by working together with the VMS/VCA and product teams
- Build and retain Visa Consulting relationships with our client
- Overseeing programme roadmap and interdependencies, calling out any issues where one outcome delivery slipping
- Managing the consolidated detailed business case for the Card Controls project team
- Being point person for any escalation or urgent requests for information from senior leaders on portfolio health
- Tracking funding consumption
- Preparing Visa MBR packs and other update packs required
- Documenting and maintaining cross outcome list of risks, issues and dependencies, etc.
- Implement a process for, and manage backlog and portfolio prioritisation
- Help project teams understand roadmaps and their resource plans
**Qualifications**:
- Strong consulting background, with the ability to develop and build strong, trusted client relationships and influence the design and outcomes of client engagements
- Good communicator, with the ability to summarise clearly and succinctly what is going on, and convert this into engaging presentations that tell a story
- A passion for project governance, with deep project/programme management, financial and budget management in technology, technology consulting, and technology processes.
