Enforcement Officer Role Profile
Enforcement Officer in Taxi Licensing. Plymouth City Council Taxi Licensing team has a vacancy for an Enforcement Officer.
The primary role for this position will be to ensure that the Hackney Carriage and private hire trade in Plymouth are compliant with the law and Council Policy in order to promote public safety.
The main responsibilities include investigating any potential breaches of licensing law and Council policy/conditions, issue Formal Suspension Notices to drivers who are in breach of their licenses, investigate complaints about licensed drivers and attend Court/Council Committees when required.
We are ideally looking for someone with experience in an enforcement role, preferably with experience of taxi licensing, although we are prepared to train the right person if required.
The post holder will need to be flexible and be able to work some evening as required.
The post holder must have a valid driving licence, have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate well in any situation.
