The principal role of the Head Of Fleet is to ensure the company remains compliant with legislation, customer requirements and manufacturer guidelines for the service, inspection, maintenance and testing of the Plant & Transport equipment fleet.
Recording and reporting.The Head of fleet working with workshop coordinator must ensure that all mandatory inspections, MOT, LOLER, PUWER ,VORcalibrations & breakdowns are recorded in line with the SUS quality management system using the correct written documents and the Syrinx program. Reports must be collated weekly costings and contractre-charges.
- Trackers -Head Of Fleet is responsible for install, deinstall of trackers to SUS preferred supplier, ensuring that all units are fitted to high quality and hidden, with ghost units fitted as a decoy (new company standard).If fobs to be used ensuring that through ops that correct person has fob and is traced for traceability
- Weekly times sheets. Head of Fleet is responsible for the authorisation and accountability of the fitter’shours (eventually to match up job cards allocation) sent to payroll
- SUS Corporate LEVY. Head of Fleetis responsible for all SUS fleet to bemirrored detailing SUS corporate levy,and contract client requirements, asset numbers where required (either welded, sticker or engraved), or any other board endorsed information on vehicles (i.e How our driving stickers, media boardsetc)
- Workshop -The Head of Fleet along with workshop coordinator is responsible for the work programme of the workshop. Pre-planned work must be booked in advance as schedule and managed,so all job is completed effectively and correctly, ensuring SUS is fit for purpose, complete and correct specification for clients.
- Stock Control -Head of Fleet is responsible for stock items required for workshop needs, ensuring all stock is booked to relevant job cards through workshop co-ordinator, stock levels are correct and working with SUS procurement a quality, reliable best price supply chain is in place to support the workshop.
- Fuel Cards -Transport manger is responsible for allocation of fuel cards, to relevant hire contract.
- Data Tags-Relevant data tags are set up for any vehicles that are set travelling through any tolls, restrictive areas (Mersey flow, M6 etc)
- Penalty Notices-Transport manager is responsible for any penalty notices, through the business ensuring that process is followed so end user is informed and SUS don’t incur court summons or increased cost from nonrepayment
- CAPEX -Head of Fleet is Responsible for Fleet & Plant CAPEX acquisitions/lease contracts for all Fleet & Plant items, utilising specialist items within the group such as recycler bodies etc. Produce maintenance, planned scheduling programmes fornewassets. (this includes integral items such as van packs, generators, compressors, etc)
- Disposal -Head of Fleet is Responsible for SUS Fleet & Plant disposals, costs analysis or business case to why, produce a timeline based on currents assets to give owners visibility.
- Insurance-Head of Fleet is responsible for dealing department insurance claims, ensuring companies processes are followed.
- Provide Health & Safety Leadership.The Transport Manager must support the SUS in all maters pertinent to the Health, Safety and Welfare of all employees whilst at work. This includes ensuring the issue and correct use of PPE.
We are looking for a strong background in fleet where you have been responsible for high volume of vehicles.

**Salary**: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
