Bid Manager

Is the preparation of bids and tenders your thing? As our Bid Manager you will be required to prepare bids and tenders for the supply of tyre management solutions to local authorities, utilities and fleets for one of the UK's largest tyre management companies.The role is offered with **hybrid working**, split between the office and working from home. **BASIC SALARY**: c£40,000 - £45,000 **BENEFITS**: - Contributory Pension Scheme - Bonus based on achieving deliverable KPI's - 25 Days Holiday plus Statutory - Mobile & Laptop **LOCATION**:**Hybrid working** - Lancashire **COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS**: Blackpool, Lancaster, Blackburn, Liverpool, Manchester, Bolton **JOB DESCRIPTION**:Bid Manager, Tender Manager, Tenders and Contracts Manager, Bids & Tender Manager : Local Authorities, Utilities & Fleets As our Bid Manager you will be responsible for: - The preparation and management of formal bid documentation submitted to Local Authorities, Utilities and Fleets - Working with the management and business development teams to identify viable bidding opportunities - Managing multiple concurrent complex bids and tenders - Delivering professionally written proposal responses that clearly articulate their value proposition - Compiling, co-ordinating and reviewing proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders, ensuring the final response is compelling, consistent, compliant and clear, and that the submission reads with a "common voice" - Understand and organise company governance data (finance, quality, Health and Safety, HR, risk, partnering) to ensure pre-qualification and bid submissions are efficiently prepared and successfully presented - Produce the quality / technical documentation, in accordance with the clients' requirements, and to a standard which results in as high a quality evaluation mark as possible, in conjunction with as competitive a price as possible - Monitor and report to senior management on the quality and success of all submissions - Monitoring tender notifications, building, and maintaining the Tender Library with the most up-to-date content and weekly and ad hoc reporting on tender status as required **PERSON SPECIFICATION**:Bid Manager, Tender Manager, Tenders and Contracts Manager, Bids & Tender Manager : Local Authorities, Utilities & Fleets - Are experienced in producing high quality written and graphical sales / tender documentation - Any knowledge of tyre management or fleet solutions would be of particular interest, but not essential - Have the ability to work to tight deadlines, responding to urgent needs with composure and efficiency - Have advanced experience of using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel - Is both motivated and enthusiastic, with professional appearance and manner - Is self-motivated with the ability to manage own workload In addition, any experience of the following would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite; - Tyre Management Solutions - Fleet Management - Working with Local Authorities - Pricing vehicles **THE COMPANY**: Part of a rapidly expanding, acquisitive and privately owned fleet management group, we are one of the UK's leading providers of tyres to fleet companies in the UK **PROSPECTS**: The company have a history of promoting from within, so there is room for your career to grow.
