The PACS/RIS Administrator is responsible for the daily operations of the PACS and RIS Systems. Oversees equipment maintenance and systems testing, upgrading, and installations. A key part of the job is liaising between Radiology users, IT and vendors to get quick resolutions to system related issues.
1. Assist with the smooth running of all Radiology IT systems.
2. To handle the day-to-day system administration of the Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS), Computerised Radiology Information System (RIS) and all associated systems.
3. Provide regular system training to new staff members and refresher training
4. Carry out system testing before and after upgrades
5. To innovate and to advise the Systems Manager on the purchase of new systems and system consumables to help ensure the Trust obtains value for money.
