**37 hours per week, permanent**

Do you want to be a part of a dynamic Public Health team, aiming to improve health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities in Rotherham?

Rotherham Council is seeking to employ a Project Support Assistant to help with the delivery of the Prevention and Health Inequalities Strategy and the work of the wider Healthy Communities team. This role is an exciting opportunity to learn more about public health and to develop skills in project management.

Rotherham’s Public Health team is a small but highly energetic team, aspiring to achieve significant improvements in the local people’s health and wellbeing and address inequalities in health between different communities. The postholder will have the opportunity to learn more about a wide variety of public health priorities - including tackling preventable health risk factors, improving access to healthcare, building the understanding of health inequalities through data and intelligence, and helping to make Rotherham a healthier place to live.

The role will also involve opportunities to work with other partners, including local health organisations, the voluntary and community sector and other teams across the Council.

The team is looking for an enthusiastic individual with an interest in public health and working to support projects.
