**Position Available: Community Support Worker (Male Only)**
We are seeking dedicated Male Support Workers for our male-only packages. Join us in this highly rewarding opportunity to provide support and guidance, aiding individuals in their day-to-day living - every day will bring new experiences as you support our clients in trying new things and making connections with their peers and the local community.
**Roles Available**:
We have a variety of roles available to suit all. We have various shift patterns located in the Shropshire area, with hours ranging between 1-12 hours per shift. This includes 1-1, or 2-1 work supporting male clients with their independence, helping with medication, with shopping, and getting them out and about accessing the local community.
**Specific Positions**:
- **Gobowen**:
- **Client**: 57-year-old man who has experienced a stroke and now lives independently in his own home.
- **Details**: Due to his condition, the client is registered blind and requires assistance with daily living activities and mobility within his home. This position involves 12-hour shifts, providing ample time for comprehensive care and support, including personal care.
- **Hadnall (near Shawbury)**:
- **Client**: Man in his 50s.
- **Details**: This role involves 4-hour blocks, providing companionship, supporting with household duties, and helping him to access the local community. No personal care is required.
- **Bayston Hill (Shrewsbury)**:
- **Client**: Male in his 20s.
- **Details**: Currently, these are 6-hour shifts, which may increase as he plans to live independently. This role does not involve personal care but focuses on assisting with achieving goals, light household duties, and community access.

**About Headway Shropshire**
Headway Shropshire is a leading charity dedicated to supporting adults with acquired brain injuries throughout Shropshire. Our mission is to empower individuals to rebuild their lives and regain independence following brain injury. We offer a range of services tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients, including rehabilitation programs, counseling, support groups, and assistance with daily living activities. Additionally, we provide access to our Community Wellbeing Centre, a hub for social engagement and therapeutic activities. Our dedicated Community Team, known as ABICS (Acquired Brain Injury Community Support), delivers personalised support services to individuals in their homes and communities. Through our compassionate and specialised care, we enhance the quality of life for those affected by brain injury and their families.
