You will be at the forefront of shaping our future services, making the NHS Long term plan a reality and supporting Elective Restoration and Recovery through Trust wide, digitally enabled improvement that puts patients first.

Working alongside divisional and care group colleagues, the post holder will be required to provide project coordination and administrative support to the improvement programme leads, including personal and administrative support to the Associate director of Always improving.
The post holder must be able to encourage and enthuse others to implement change
The post holder must be well motivated and able to workusing their own initiative with mínimal direction.
This post holder will work in a matrix structure with the improvement team, divisional teams and the clinical lead for Quality Improvement.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
WHAT YOU’LL DO
This is a Maternity Cover role, providing team coordination and project support to the transformation team - supporting members of the transformation leadership team plan and coordinate the UHS Always improving programme. To include resource planning and management; completion and update of project documentation and project communications.
Support in organising events and workshops
- to organise/assist in the planning of departmental events (e.g. team meetings, away days and launch events), which may include the preparation of agendas and other documents.
Coordinate team communications
- both within the team and via the communications departments.
Project support across multiple transformation programmes
Personal assistant duties for the Associate director of Improvement
- to organise and prioritise diary appointments, re-arranging when necessary, to take account of more urgent meetings/appointments as they arise, informing the manager(s) of any new, changes and urgent appointments.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) standard, with a pass in English.
Experience as a secretary or administrative assistant in a customer-focused environment.
Proficient in the use of IT packages including Microsoft Office
- experience in the use of PowerPoint, Excel and computerised diaries.
Able to prioritise and manage a large and conflicting workload.
Ability to work under pressure.
Organisational and interpersonal skills.
Excellent telephone/communication skills.
Ability to compose correspondence from fragmented instructions.
To demonstrate a good understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data protection
Ability to work autonomously and be part of a team.
Friendly and approachable manner.
To be polite, sympathetic, patient and diplomatic.
Able to work on initiative.
Flexible approach to work.
