Prospero are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible **Teaching Assistant** to work in a Primary School**specialist unit**supporting students with **additional learning needs with KS2** primary pupils all working at a low ability level.

You need to hold**experience of working with primary** aged children KS1 or KS2 pupils, this post will focus on encouraging children to engage with the basics of the primary curriculum. The role will predominantly focused on phonics and basicnumeracy skills

You will be able to demonstrate skills in relating to children who have barriers to learning, including additional learning needs.

You will be able to communicate and deal with pupils in a calm but firm manner in small groups or on a one to one basis, both in school, ensuring that every student is making progress in line with their ability.

You will ideally have a wealth of experience of working with pupils who can demonstrate challenging behaviours.
