Band 3 Occupational Therapy Assistant required within our Learning Disabilities Occupational Therapists community service**
**We have an opportunity for a Band 3 OT assistant within our community LD OT service working across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland for people with learning disabilities.**
The post will be challenging and rewarding supporting the OT’s within the team to deliver high standard care to individuals throughout the community. You will be part of the OT team delivering packages of care to a diverse group of people with complex needs and will need to display a positive attitude towards this client group.
- Good communication skills are essential as well as being able to work as part of a team and deliver person-centred care.
- A good sense of humour and the ability to empathise are vital for this role.

We offer support and training to the right applicant and an excellent opportunity for skill development in a continuously changing and dynamic team.

Applicants will need to be able to work flexibly across the community teams.

We are looking for innovative and dynamic individual to join the team, who display an interest in working with this complex, challenging, and rewarding patient group.

We work Mon-Fri 8.15am-4.30pm

It is a statutory requirement for roles that involve work in care homes that staff are up to date with their Covid vaccination status to be able to work in that environment, unless the person has a valid medical exemption. Where a role requires this, they will need to demonstrate that they meet this requirement during the recruitment process.

For rostered areas, these are set in advance at a team level and you will join an established roster. Your rostered shifts will be confirmed to you when arranging your start date.

We will consider requests to work alternative hours or vary working patterns in line with our flexible working policy.

All jobs will require permission to work in the UK.

For all jobs the cost of any DBS disclosure required will be met by the individual. This will be deducted from salary once started.
