We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator/Driver to join our team in a heavy goods environment. As a Forklift Operator/Driver, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to safely load, unload, and transport heavy goods within our facility. Your precision, attention to detail, and commitment to safety will be crucial to the success of our operations.
**Responsibilities**:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move heavy goods, including loading, unloading, and stacking materials according to established safety protocols.
- Transport goods to designated areas within the facility efficiently and accurately.
- Inspect and maintain the forklift and other equipment, reporting any mechanical issues or malfunctions promptly.
- Follow proper inventory control procedures to ensure accurate tracking of goods.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to minimize workplace accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations.
- Assist in general warehouse duties and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
**Qualifications**:
- Valid forklift operator certification/license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and handling heavy goods within a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for forklift operation.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts, including counterbalance, reach truck, and pallet jacks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and completing paperwork.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects as required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
