Principle Cleaning Services is excited to announce a new opportunity for a **Porter ** to join our growing team We are a leading provider of exceptional cleaning solutions. The overall purpose of the role is to ensure an exceptional quality of service is provided and to maintain the highest standard of cleaning in all areas (internal and external).

- **Pay Rate**: £13.67 per hour

- **Hours of Work**:Monday - Friday (11:00am - 20:00pm) 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day (plus 1 hour unpaid break)

**Purpose of the Role**
To ensure that a quality service is provided to the client within an agreed budgetary guideline. To maintain a high standard of presentation/cleanliness in all areas of the site.

This position provides a unique opportunity to be one of the key players at the centre of a dedicated and established team of staff providing crucial support services. The individual will need to be a well-presented customer-focused operative with a “concierge” approach to the client’s business users, emphasising communication and quality as part of their role.

**Main Responsibilities and Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the reconfiguration of meeting rooms.
- Ad-hoc reconfiguration of rooms following specific client requests.
- Spot any reconfiguration problems and discuss with appropriate departments/clients.
- Asses for extra work force for special events / setups.
- Respond immediately to any customer complaints/requests as they occur.
- Assist with delivery/sending of conference/meeting materials or any items.
- Ensure you adhere to all the Health & Safety regulations always. Assess risks on any ad hoc requests before completing.
- Ensure that any maintenance issues are reported immediately to your team leader/manager.
- Audit meeting rooms on a daily basis to ensure stationary, furniture etc are all in order and rooms are set up as default when not in use.
- Ensure store rooms are always in a good clean state of order and carry out weekly stock takes
- Be responsible for porterage stationary (flipcharts, markers, pads and pencils) do stock checks and place orders as and when necessary.
- Observe and follow Principle and Kings Cross Estate site rules and regulations always.
- Attend weekly operations meetings with facilities and flag any problems at the meeting regarding set ups.
- Be flexible with hours of work and/or work extra hours when needed for any evening or weekend events.
- Introduce initiatives regarding the job role.
- As porter operative, there will be occasions when cleaning or any other tasks will be required.
- Collation of conference deliveries/parcels for meetings.

**Critical Performance Measures (CPMs / Objectives)**
- Work performance - by performing tasks correctly to keep site building audit tasks to a minimum.
- Initiative - to actively check areas and action tasks before they become an issue.
- Team working - to work as part of one team and to attend staff meetings to gain information.
- Communication - to liaise with different departments regarding porterage and to report issues to line Team Leaders.
- Health & Safety - to follow procedures and report issues in order that helpdesk is raised for maintenance issues.

**Educational Level**
- Able to accept instruction in verbal or written English.
- Basic mathematical ability Addition / Subtraction, Multiplication and Division, applicants will be required to demonstrate the above.
- Comfortable with technology, hand held devices for Auditing and Key Performance Indicators.

**Experience**
This position would suit a hard-working team player, who takes pride in their work and appearance, capable of showing initiative and can think on their feet. Would suit working in a dynamic, creative and highly energised environment. With an eye for detail and prepared on occasion to do extra hours at short notice, happy to work outside the porterage role as multitask operative on occasion as the client requests with a can-do attitude. A customer focused individual who can balance work activities with a customer facing smile.
