Department Size: 15 Reporting into: Translations Manager Direct reports: N/A Benefits Performance bonus schemes dependant on the type of role you are in A pension that both you and the company contribute to A portal with an array of discounts on things like theme park and cinema tickets Our famous staff discount along with exclusive staff sales Private healthcare for you and your family Flexible working A chance to be part of a fun and caring team that support each other Responsibilities Translate marketing and editorial copy from English into German in a way that remains faithful to the original content, recreating Net‑A‑Porter’s and Mr Porter’s authoritative voice Check accuracy, cut copy to fit, proof copy, check all pages and links for the website, iPad and iPhone apps Adapt headings and sections to suit German readership and sense‑check copy throughout Sub copy for marketing, editorial, email and general site copy Sub special projects as required (e.g. video, printed projects) Work with the rest of the translations team to ensure all deadlines are met Work closely with the site trading team / Web production Cover for the German Chief Sub Editor when away Gain insight into the German fashion market and the typical consumer to continuously improve the German content Qualifications Experience copywriting or translating within the fashion or a related industry Fluent in English and German (Native level) both written and spoken Good understanding of InDesign and working knowledge of Photoshop Good understanding and working knowledge of Figma and TMS Phrase Software PC and Mac literate Some experience of CMS systems is beneficial Able to manage a changing workload effectively to meet daily deadlines A good communicator who can work well in a busy team An understanding of the German‑speaking and international fashion industry and the luxury market From the moment you join the YOOX NET‑A‑PORTER GROUP we are committed to making your journey with us inspirational and evolutionary.
