**The role - Teacher Assistant - Waltham Forest**

To be a good Teaching Assistant, you will need a good understanding of English and Maths to support children in the classroom, as well as outside of it. There will be times when you will work 1:1 with a child in the class, as well as you will work in small groups with the children and assist the teachers with daily tasks. Teaching Assistants need to have a sense of confidence, be bubbly, and show enthusiasm. This will enable you to be able to build a good relationship with your children as well as your colleagues. This position will require you to support a variety of students who have a range of needs, and you will have to be able to adapt to meet their needs as well.
