**Hours**: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm or 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Are you ready to take your expertise in inventory and stores management to the next level? Join KIMS Hospital, Kent’s largest independent hospital, as an **Inventory and Stores Control Officer** and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Procurement and Supplies Department.
**About the Role**
In this dynamic position, you’ll be at the heart of our fast-paced department, coordinating Goods-In processes, managing stock efficiently, and supporting clinical and non-clinical areas. By ensuring the right products are available at the right time, you’ll directly contribute to the exceptional care we provide to our patients.
**What You’ll Do**
As part of our team, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the receipting, accurate recording, and return of inbound and outbound goods, products, and medical implants.
- Supporting the Inventory and Stores Manager in reviewing stock usage and recommending stock levels for clinical areas.
- Overseeing high-value hospital stock located in stores, using electronic systems to manage inventory and generate picking lists.
- Ensuring proper stock rotation using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method to prevent wastage.
- Engaging with clinical staff to review stock usage and address any concerns regarding obsolete or redundant items.
- Running reports, expediting outstanding orders, and managing delivery/returns for loaned kits and other medical products.
- Learning and utilizing the hospital’s Purchase-to-Pay system for ordering and inventory management.
**What We’re Looking For**
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Have at least 2 years of experience in purchasing, stock, or stores management.
- Are confident using computers and learning new systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Can work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize workloads.
While not essential, experience within a healthcare environment or familiarity with GHX PowerGate, NEXUS, or PowerGate Web systems would be a bonus
