**Job overview**

Reporting to the Finance Director, we are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Finance Assistant to join our team. As Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and ensuring accuracy in our accounting processes. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about finance and wants to grow their career in the field.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Recording daily financial transactions using Netsuite accounting software.
- Accounts payable - processing invoices, reconciling statements and ensuring timely payment to suppliers.
- Sales reconciliation - investigating variances between accounting software and production software.
- Daily bank reconciliations.
- Processing employee expenses in line with company policies.
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements.
- Supporting the finance team in preparing and monitoring budgets.
- Supporting the finance team with financial analysis to aid decision-making.
- Assisting with audits.

**To be successful in this role**:

- Previous experience as a finance assistant would be an advantage.
- Numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of accounting software would be an advantage.
- Strong IT skills, in particular Excel and Powerpoint.
- Well organised and self-disciplined, with the ability to multi-task and to assist other members of the finance team
- The ability to communicate on all levels and establish good working relationships both internally and externally
