Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a **Housing Options Adviser (Refugees) **a Local Authority Client based in **North London.** In this role, you will manage complex cases, directly support Ukrainian refugees and their sponsors to sustain housing arrangements, prevent homelessness, and access appropriate rehousing options under the Homes for Ukraine Scheme. **About the role**: You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives: - Supervise caseworkers, manage complex cases, and provide direct support to Ukrainian refugees and sponsors to sustain housing arrangements and prevent homelessness. - Advise clients on rehousing options, including the "rematching" process, and conduct home visits to assess and support housing situations. - Maintain accurate case records, ensure effective communication with clients (including those with limited English), and collaborate with internal and external partners for comprehensive support. - Monitor case progress, provide guidance to sponsors, ensure compliance with policies, and offer compassionate and client-focused support to vulnerable individuals. **About you**: - Proven experience in casework or support services, particularly with vulnerable individuals, refugees, or people from diverse backgrounds, including managing complex cases. - Experience in supervising and mentoring caseworkers, providing guidance on challenging cases, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. - Strong background in housing policies, rehousing processes, homelessness prevention, and working with clients facing language barriers. - Ability to maintain accurate case records, use IT systems for data entry, and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external agencies. **What’s on offer**: **Salary**: £20+ph **Contract type**: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension **Hours**: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week **How to apply**: - Once your CV is received, if you are successful, you will be contacted. - For any further questions, please contact **Taylor Kirkham on 01772 954200.** **INDSCG3** Pay: From £20.00 per hour **Experience**: - working in a casework or support service: 3 years (required) - supervising and mentoring caseworkers: 2 years (required) - manage complex cases: 2 years (preferred) - providing direct support to Ukrainian refugees & sponsors: 2 years (required) - conducting home visits: 2 years (required) - advising on rehousing options: 2 years (required) - working for a local authority: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: Hybrid remote in London N1C 4AG Reference ID: Housing Options Adviser (Refugees) - North London Local Authority
