**Manufacturing Operations Manager**

You will be responsible for the oversight of all matters relating to the day-to-day functions of the factory including production, warehousing, maintenance, spares and general factory management.

You will ensure the strategic direction of all operations is communicated to, and driven by, all group departmental managers and that appropriate manufacturing systems are embedded into the operational culture of the organisation.

**Role Requirements**
- Some engineering experience would be an advantage.
- Strong, interpersonal skills.
- Analytical skills and the ability to make sound business decisions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop strong partnerships with internal teams.
- Experience working with plastic injection moulding machines.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Ensuring that operational labour inputs are in balance with predicted outputs with particular emphasis on production labour content.
- Responsible for meeting demanding production targets/schedules which change on a regular basis to meet customers’ delivery expectations.
- Ensure that regular quality checks are being carried out by qualified personnel to maintain the high standards of quality product and service.
- Ensure that all production and warehousing equipment and machinery is maintained at regular intervals by qualified personnel.
- Ensure that all direct reports are trained and performing to a high level of competence.
- Constantly review operating methods with the intention of improving procedures, processes and efficiencies without loss to the quality or safety aspects of the products.
- Formalise procedures where possible so that the plant is working with best practice.
- Monitoring and reporting all relevant KPI data, justifying variances from target and implementing actions to reverse negative trends including scrap, productivity, efficiency, down time, WIP, 5S, stock turns.
- Update systems to drive move towards full ERP manufacturing.
- Ensure that any safety requirements for the factory are met.
- To ensure highest standards of service to internal and external customers.
- Ensure health and safety of factory and warehouse staff by ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of all areas and free access of all fire exits and functional exits.
- Ensure all necessary actions are taken to deliver companywide budgets, targets and operational requirements. Inclusive of functional contribution to margin and profitability.
- Contribute to overall business strategies in conjunction with Board of Directors to ensure continued profitable growth.
