A commercial property and housing developer are looking to recruit an Asisstant Quantity Surveyor in Ashby De La Zouch in Leicestershire
The role:
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will assist in looking after house building,commercial property and apartment schemes.
You day to day responsibilities will be as follows along with the QS team:
To prepare, submit and agree all Final Accounts in a timely manner that achieves best value for the Company
Prepare the submission and agreement of any contractual claims as requested
Take timely and proper action (e.g., notices) in accordance with the contract/sub-contract
Check that all sub-contractors are procured to the programme and that agreements are robust in order to achieve best value
Give support and advice to site team with contractual matters where possible
Ensure that the risk mitigation strategy is effectively managed
The Person:
It is likely you will have previously worked as either a QS,Surveyor,Quantity Surevyor, Junior Surveyor, Assistant Quantity Surveyor,QS,Commercial Trainee,Graduate QS or Trainee Surveyor in a similar house building environment. 2 years experience is necessaryand preferably in housing but not essential.
You will require the following:
Degree in Quantity Surveying is preferred
Good knowledge of contract conditions and law within the Construction Industry
Excellent organiser with proven time management skills
