**Band 5 Inpatient Occupational therapist - Eating Disorders (Locum Role)**

**Based in Bristol**

**ASAP start - ongoing contract**
- As the Specialist Occupational Therapist on an inpatient unit, you will be responsible for carrying out Specialist Occupational assessments and delivering care accordingly, also being a part of delivering therapy to the service users on the unit.
- This will include meal planning, shopping, cooking, establishing meaningful activities and occupation and vocational support.
- Also assisting the patient to complete graduated discharge planning and then hand over care the patients OT goals to the community OT.
- You will be required to have excellent communication skills and will work closely with the MDT.
- You should have significant post-qualification experience and be confident and working as an autonomous practitioner.
- You need to be enthusiastic and interested about working with eating disorders and be keen to continue your professional development within this diverse and specialist field of work.
- STEPsEDU is a 10 bedded standalone unit looking after patient with anorexia and bulimia nervosa.
- The unit NGT feeds and has a max of 2 patients at one time on these plans.
- Our Occupational Therapist works closely with our eating disorder community team and liaises with them for discharge planning and also receiving clinical/peer supervision with them
