Primary Function

The Finance Student will be involved in month end and intra-month activities covering a range of financial aspects including Accounts Payable, Financial Accounting and intercompany transactions for the UK and South Africa entities of a US-listed, global corporation. This includes ensuring financial records are complete and maintained to high standard, suitable for audit. Supporting other members of the department with holiday cover and helping to maintain seamless running within the department.

Key Deliverables
- Month End Processes - Support all month end activities - helping to ensure accurate and timely reporting. This will include preparing various reports for the business.
- Expense System Administration - Manage the Expense system, including setting up new employees, guiding employees on using the system, and updating the T&E policies.
- Compliance - Help to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance by performing

weekly checks of Purchase requisitions. Run the VAT report on the monthly basis and get the supporting documents for VAT return submission
- National Statistics Office - Assist with compilation of returns for review

and submission
- Vendor Creation Request - Gathering information to fill the form and creating the new vendors on the system
- Supporting the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team - support the daily tasks, but also projects for both AP and AR departments.
- Supporting any Internal and External Audits.
- Other duties - any other duties as required to ensure accurate and timely

reporting and seamless running of the Finance Department.

Qualification, Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Studying a Finance/Business related undergraduate course
- English, advanced both written and spoken
- Strong analytical, numerical and IT skills. Advanced skills in MS

Office (particularly Excel)
