My client are in the process of rationalising their approach to data, and driving a period of progressive, business supported data transformation.I am looking for a senior data professional to lead a team of experienced data engineers (13 in total), supportthe build of a new data platform, decommission a legacy data estate and create some rigour around data governance.You will have solid experience of transitioning a business’s data estate from on prem (such as Qlik/Business Objects/Db2) to cloud based technologies(snowflake ideally) and be comfortable liaising with wider project teams and 3rd party suppliers.The team are a talented bunch and are preparing for the new platform build.You’ll be comfortable managing the technical and pastoral side of their careerjourneys, and ideally have experience of managing large scale builds alongside a decent size team.This will suit a technical data professional, who has become an adept leader.Any experience to an online, retail or ecommerce environment would be hugelyadvantageous.

The role requires 1 day a week in North Manchester/Lancashire and is paying £100-110k plus a nice car allowance and bonus incentive.
