**Location**:Go Ape Construction Yard, Tenbury Wells, WR15 8HB - You will be required to spend a lot of time working away from home at one of the Go Ape locations in the UK.
**Hours of work**: Minimum 16 days per 4 weeks
Weekend working may be required
Bank holiday work awarded time off in lieu
**Contract Type**: Permanent
**Day Rate**:£130.00
Holiday: 28 days per annum, calculated pro-rata

**Overview**
The construction team (CT) Competent Constructor is to assist the CT in successfully maintaining and construction the Go Ape sites. The role involves physical work and long hours working in the outdoors in often challenging environments.
**Main Tasks and Responsibilities**
**Construction**
- Carrying out Go Ape course maintenance and construction as directed by the Construction Team Manager and to a high degree of professionalism.
- Carrying out the necessary preparation to carry out the work set.
- Assisting in the sourcing collection and delivery of all materials necessary
- Assisting in the safe operation of Go Ape construction in accordance with company procedures and training
- Complying with all health and safety procedures, including risk assessments and method statements.
- Operating in a safe working Manner at all times.
- Assisting in compiling risk assessments and method statements where required.
- Administration including recording of equipment checks, vehicle logs and service logs according to company policy
**Additional Responsibilities**
- Carrying out all necessary work site and equipment checks during the day and recording any findings
- Inspecting site PPE and safety equipment, ensuring it's in good order and correctly serviced and reporting all faults where found.
- Maintaining Go Ape tool, equipment, vehicles, site and cabins in good, clean and serviceable order.
- Recording serviceability of the above and notifying the Construction Manager.
- Building and maintaining good working relationships with key parties
- Landowners representatives, Go Ape personnel, Altus and other construction contractors, customers, members of the public, accommodation hosts, insurers, course inspectors and the press.
- Attending meetings and training in the UK as required.
**Skills and Experience Required**
- Good practical skills in a large range of different types of construction.
- A very good understanding of the different types and uses of tools and plant machinery.
- Experience of driving large vans and long distances and a trailer endorsement (B+E).
- Experience of working safely at height.
- A hands-on approach to learning new skills and improving your knowledge.
- Working towards Band 2 (Qualified Constructor) having completed some of the different training courses and showing a better quality and speed of work

- To maintain good working relations with Go Ape personnel and members of the public and other key contacts.
- Punctuality.
- High standard of personal hygiene and appearance.

Essential
1. Valid First Aid Certificate
2. Previous Construction experience.
3. Clean Driving License.
4. Carpentry and DIY skills.
5. Must be a team player.
6. Must have a good head for heights
7. Must enjoy working in the outdoors

1. First aid at work certificate
2. High ropes experience
3. Tree surgery experience
4. Chainsaw qualifications
5. IT skills
