**Key responsibilities**:
Support the Head of Data Solutions on the development and management of TU’s data strategy in line with market, business, and stakeholder needs. This will involve managing the various workstreams supporting the team’s ownership of data within the wider business.

The role holder will develop a deep understanding of our data assets, both new and in pipeline, in our three target verticals - core, adjacent and alternative. This will mean both understanding how we better leverage our current sources, but also can workwith the wider business to identify and assist in evaluation of new adjacencies and alternatives sources that will enrich TU’s wider product set.

This will involve assisting the head of the Data Strategy with the development of appropriate plans, documentation, and material supporting the development and delivery of our data strategy. To include:

- Creation of material outlining data sources and use cases
- Mapping out and understanding of the competitive environment in which TU operates
- Developing appropriate governance and controls over the data acquisition process
- Assisting in revenue projections as part of the acquisition of new data sources
- Developing materials in support of accepting new and existing data sources into TU product set

**Additional responsibilities**:
Key role in forecasting revenue growth from specific product lines through identifying, sourcing, and delivering relevant quality data in any of three key areas of discipline

Creation of effective internal and external sales enablement material in support of our data strategy

Create, steward, and maintain product strategy for specific data sources

Proposition and business case development, in conjunction with department head

Prioritisation of high-level opportunities for data sources

Maintain strategic data roadmaps

Working with other product managers across multiple lines of business and in other areas to ensure collaboration and alignment between data and wider product strategies

Work with head of department to ensure appropriate controls are created and adhered to in respect of data sourcing and maintenance

Work to ensure data sources used are integrated via the wider TU product governance toolset: our Product Development Lifecycle process.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Professional experience within data services and product management
- Credible: able to lead and deliver strategy in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary team
- Desirable: appreciation of analytics and associated concepts (note: this is not an analytical role)
- Strong intellect, capable of analytical and strategic thinking and complex problem solving and prioritisation
- Commercially astute with track record of delivery of numbers based on forecasting and budget requirements
- Understanding of key markets and trends with an enthusiasm for innovation and new technology
- Highly articulate with effective verbal and written communication skills to influence a range of senior internal and external stakeholders
- Disciplined with strong planning and organisation skills and the ability balance multiple conflicting priorities
