Assistant Moving and Handling Administrator

The Moving and Handling Team is looking for a proactive Moving and Handling Assistant Administrator. The post holder will support the Manual Handling Team with the booking of all moving and handling training to meet the needs of staff at all levels within the Trust.
This includes collating and inputting data and general administrative support to the Manual and Handling Department. The role will also include customer service support, appointment reminders and reception duties, managing training trainer diaries.
The post holder will support the Moving & Handling Senior Co-ordinator in meeting the objectives and service plans for the team.
The post holder will ensure compliance with the Trust’s Risk Management Policies & Procedures. These describe the Trust’s commitment to risk management, the recognition that our aim is to protect patients, staff & visitors from harm and stress that all staff have a responsibility to minimise risk.
As a team, the Moving and Handling Team empower staff to use their knowledge and skills in day to day practice thus improving the general standard of manual handling and reducing the likelihood of musculoskeletal injury to staff.

- General administrative support to the Manual Handling Team.
- Collate and input manual handling course data.
- Audit Collation use of Survey Monkey.
- Opening and distribution of post, photocopying, filing and retrieval of information both paper and electronic based.
- Ordering of stationary.
- Maintenance of Equipment Log.
- Act as the first point of contact for managers/staff with enquiries for staff and clients, and other general issues.
- Booking new employees on manual handling training sessions.
- Monitoring and preparing statistics for manual handling end of year report.
- Maintain accurate records of all manual handling training.
- Act a resource for staff seeking advice as necessary.
- Effectively communicate with all members of the multi-disciplinary team highlighting any conflicting views to the Moving & Handling Senior Co-Ordinator.
- To undertake appropriate training to ensure knowledge and skills are maintained for the post.
- Participate in the appraisal process, contributing to personal development and participating in relevant training and development opportunities as agreed with your line manager.
- Member of the National Back Exchange for CPD.
