**Machine Operator**
We are looking to hire a machine operative for a market leading supplier of stamping foils to the printing industry.
We are looking for hard working, enthusiastic and reliable individuals with a strong work ethic to run slitting rewinding machines in the Watford warehouse, preparing rolls of stamping foils to customer orders. This role suits practically minded individualswho can work safely on their own initiative, yet have the ability to work well within a dedicated, customer focused team. The role requires shift working.
Role Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading slitting & rewinding machines
- Setting and running machines including (but not limited to) cutting blades, tension & brake settings
- Inspecting product for quality while running and adjusting as necessary
- Unloading and cleaning and labelling of prepared rolls for customer orders
- Completing production order confirmations using SAP computer system
- Regular cleaning of machines and maintaining good housekeeping standards
- Additional tasks as required by the Factory Manager
**Requirements**:

- Ability to work safely in a busy factory environment
- Machine operating experience preferred
- Accuracy, reliability and flexibility
- Enthusiastic 'can do' attitude
- A willingness to learn and be part of a dedicated, customer focused team
- Self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative
- Manual dexterity
- Offer flexibility to the role, with the ability to turn your hand to a number of tasks
- Good level of English language and numeracy
- Basic IT skills
- Good colour perception
Some of the prepared rolls may be heavy, so a reasonable level of fitness and compliance with manual handling guidance is required.
