As an Advanced Mental Health Practitioner working in the Police Mental Health Joint Response Car (PMHJRC) you will work alongside Cambridgeshire Constabulary (CC) Officers to provide an immediate response to people in the community who are experiencing a mental health crisis.

Working 4pm - Midnight (Mon - Thurs) and 4pm - 2am (Fri - Sun), the PMHJRC responds to 999 calls made to the Police, that have been identified as having a primary mental health need. The Advanced MH Practitioner will carry out a brief triage to ascertain whether a person can safely remain at home to avoid unnecessary attendance at acute hospitals, offer safety planning, sign posting and referrals into MH services if needed. They will also support officers in making decisions around the use of S. 136.
