No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes - whatever they may be

Each person we support has different support needs, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

ENABLE Scotland creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

Peter is a young man who lives in his own home in Largs, Peter requires support to live in his own home and to support him to enjoy the life he wants to live, he enjoys bowling and attending local disco's. Peter needs support with following routines to keep him safe as he sees the world differently to you and me and he can become overwhelmed when his senses get overloaded. Peter has his own car to get out and about and he also has a close relationship with his family who like to visit Peter. Peter requires support with all aspects of daily life including supporting him with personal care and Medication. Peter attends a local centre on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday so he requires support from 15.45 until 21.30 and all other days he gets support from 08.00 until 21.30.
