**Security & Crime Specialist**

The security team is a fast-paced, dynamic and demanding area of the business that is constantly evolving. We work with stores and enforcement agencies across the UK to minimise, mitigate and investigate external crimes across our business.
**About the role**

The role of the Security & Crime Specialist within the Security team is to monitor and respond to emergent crime trends, targeting the offenders that commit the most amount of harm for Boots UK. Utilising the Auror Crime reporting tool and with the management and oversight of the subcontracted (TSS) Crime intelligence team, the role will develop all associated reporting, compliance and provision of evidence to the police to combat the increasing trend of organised criminality in our stores portfolio.
Working as part of the Central Operations function, this is an operationally led role and is fundamental in driving outcomes, insight, and learnings to inform the business on areas at risk of external crime.
- Support the delivery of the crime and intelligence team outputs and strategy
- Developing and growing strong working relationships with key partners including the police and local authority on a regular basis
- Collate, analyse and disseminate criminal intelligence received by stores, sharing it with the appropriate agencies and monitoring actions taken by the police to keep the business updated
- Swift identification of incidents that require escalation as per Company guidelines to appropriate stakeholders
- Hold clear and concise information on positive outcomes for prolific offenders
- Managing and scrutinising the credentials of new and existing Business Crime Reduction Partnerships (BCRPs), ensuring they meet a minimum operational threshold
- Ensure store compliance to appropriate reporting protocols addressing non-compliance
- Ensuring proportionality at all times, manage information held on exclusion notices from BCRPs for repeat offenders to ensure compliance to the notice
- Manage access to the secure digital radio network across stores, ensuring equipment is being utilised to the best level to support in responding to crime locally
- Spotlight success stories across the business to drive and promote best practice in crime reporting
- Manage and maintain access and permissions to Auror and associated SSO requirements
**What you’ll need to have**
- Strong stakeholder management both internally and externally
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- Great at building relationships and rapport
- Strong understanding of data privacy and the implications of sharing data under Police and Criminal Evidence Act
- Analytical understanding of crime and offender profiles
- Continuous improvement of processes and engagement levels
