**Position Overview**

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a **Laboratory Support Assistant** to join us. You will take responsibility for providing direct laboratory support at customer facilities - materials preparations, laboratory inventory and labelling, maintenance of laboratory equipment. We are offering this role on a full time permanent basis.

You will work **Monday to Friday, **core hours. You will be working from our client's location based in Great Abington, Cambridge (CB21 6GP).

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Production of media based products, buffers and solutions
- Autoclaving activities such as glassware, plasticware and waste
- Provide regular glassware and plastics collection, washing and, autoclaving/ sterilisation services (steam, dry or filtration) for the scientists to use within the laboratories.
- To protect the integrity of research activities, regularly check chemical and reagent expiry dates and arrange disposal of any out-of-date material via the correct waste disposal route.
- Stock management - daily consumable replenishment at the point of use, utilising site inventory system

**Experience Required**
- Proven excellent customer service focus and ability to work collaboratively
- Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills
- Good problem-solving capabilities and confidence to react promptly to deliver the best service possible
- Good IT skills required (including Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook)
