Sales Estimator

We have a great opportunity for someone with a vibrant personality who is eager to learn to join our team as an Estimator based at our main office in Dorset. This is the perfect position for someone who thrives on variety to be able to work for a growing Company within various industry sectors including Agricultural and Commercial.

You will be dealing with initial customer enquiries, including attending site meetings to supply clients with estimates as well as following up on previous quotes from the Estimating Team to ensure great customer service.

We specialise in the design, fabrication and completion of Agricultural and Industrial Steel Framed Buildings throughout the Southwest. With our own workshop and specialist site teams, our core values are based around providing a quality service to our clients. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an Estimator to join our team to prepare estimates for new projects and create new business.

**About you**:

- Experience in Sales Estimating, Job Costing and preparation of estimates/quotations
- Experience of Construction would be advantageous but not essential
- Must be willing to learn and progress in the role
- Have a confident but friendly manner when meeting and dealing directly with clients and colleagues
- Be able to forge strong customer relationships with a friendly yet professional approach
- Possess excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Work efficiently and accurately
- Use initiative to improve sales and quotes won
- Able to manage your own workload and prioritise quotes
- Be a great team player
- Have a keen eye for detail to ensure accurate quoting
- Be good humoured and a team player
- Must be pro-active in seeking new business opportunities
- Be an ambassador for the Company

**The role**:

- Prepare estimates and quotations from own surveys, architects drawings, clients design etc., and follow up by providing written estimates
- Attend sites, meet with clients, both existing and potential, carry out surveys and timely follow ups
- Attend trade shows
- Pro-active in calling prospective customers to update quotes and secure sales on a Weekly basis
- Work with other members of the Estimating team to provide support where needed and help each other succeed
- Work with the Contracts department to ensure accurate handover of projects
- Assist with after sales customer care, requesting reviews and feedback for Marketing purposes
