More than 375,000 people are trained to OPITO Standards every year, across 50 countries through 200 accredited training centres. We have a team of around 70 staff with offices based in Aberdeen, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, and Houston.
We work with our partners and stakeholders to develop targeted programmes that provide people with the skills for a career in the energy sector. In collaboration with industry and government partners, OPITO provides informed guidance on key areas of skills policy for the sector, including career pathways and training opportunities for the current and future workforce.
We gather intelligence and provide research to inform the development of skills and training solutions, build strategic partnerships, connect industry stakeholders, and facilitate effective collaborations to align skills demand and supply around the globe.
**PRIMARY FUNCTION**:
Provide general IT assistance and end user support to the business.

**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**
Main functions may include some or all of the following:
- Work on a range of IT duties assisted by the Digital Services Manager
- Resolve routine IT issues or contributing to new projects.
- Develop a working knowledge of cloud computing using Windows and Apple devices
**Operational (Including Technical)**
Some or all of the following may be required:
- Assist internal users with general desktop support queries (onsite / remotely)
- Setting up of laptops and devices remotely and onsite
- Monitor, investigate, and resolve issues where possible
- Log tickets with third party vendors for issues or to seek further expert guidance
- Follow up on outstanding tickets / issues with third party vendors
- Aid with requests for system access/ log ins
**Transactional (Relevant to Support Roles)**
Some or all of the following may be required:
- Duties will be reviewed and assigned on a weekly basis by Digital Services Manager
- Weekly check ins with Digital Service Manager to review status and progress of assigned duties
- Issues or concerns arising out with weekly check in’s to be escalated at any time to the Digital Service Manager
- **Health & Safety / Quality Assurance**
Main functions may include some or all of the following:
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment
- Comply with OPITO, and where relevant, Client Company’s, Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Policies and
Safety Management Systems
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, and lead by example to ensure company goals are achieved and exceeded
- Ensure that all personal activities comply with Health and Safety legislation and that any observed non
- conformances are reported to the appropriate personnel
**Qualification, experience, and attributes (Objectively required to undertake the role)**
Some or all of the following may be required:
- National Level 5/6 qualifications
- Preferably good passes in Computing/Business Management/Maths or equivalent
- Willingness to commit to company sponsored further educational studies (part-time and/or evening classes)

OPITO have a number of policies and guidance documents available to all staff (such as Bribery & Corruption and
Conflict of Interest) which provides guidance and confidence to all of our team in their day to day roles as well as helping them to comply with the relevant laws and best practice at all times. All employees are reasonably expected to familiarise themselves with, and understand/comply with, at all times, these requirements.
