**OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**:
To remove distortion from Dip Brazed Assemblies and Fixtures.

**PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Understanding of Stretching and Shrinking material using manual equipment,
- Use precision measuring equipment such a s Verniers, Trimoss and DTI’s,
- Able to work within fine tolerances,
- Able to read engineering drawings,
- Refurbish Brazing Fixtures when required,
- Remove distortion from Dip Brazed components to drawing tolerances,
- Use Planishing and Dead Blow Hammers,
- Knowledge of Heat Treatment Process for Aluminum,
- Safely set and use fly presses,
- Able to work effectively in a small team environment,
- Responsible for ensuring components meet required quality standards,
- Responsible for ensuring that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained,
- To help create and maintain a safe working environment and observe the published Health and safety policies and procedures,
- To support other team members with other tasks when necessary.

**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Mechanical Engineering Knowledge
- Experience with metal (straightening dip braze assemblies and jigs)
- Able to read Engineering drawings Metric & Imperial
- Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Use of Measuring equipment & hand tools

**DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS**:

- GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at grade C or above
