**National Account Manager** **FMCG Food. Retail** **Up to £50k plus bonus and benefits** Our client is a leading a UK supplier of speciality foods from around the world for the retail, wholesale, and foodservice sectors. Their passion along with a reputation for authenticity and quality yielded outstanding success and growth across all channels. They are now looking for an experienced key account manager to join their commercial team to take ownership and develop a portfolio of prestige High St and Department store clients. Commercial exposure to customers such as John Lewis, Selfridges, Fresh & Wild and Harvey Nichols is vital to this role as is strong commercial acumen and an understanding of the product development process as this will be contribute significantly to theongoing success of this channel through the on-going development of both branded and own label product ranges. You will be expected to have the ability to deliver robust business plans and trading strategies facilitating sales, profit, and distribution growth. Working as part of a highly experienced National Accounts team you’ll collaborate with Marketing/NPD/PL departments as well as liaising with finance & purchasing. The role although predominantly focussed on the Prestige Retail channel, will also have significant exposure to German Discounters and will serve as a platform for rapid career development to National Account Manager. **_The role comes with plenty of opportunity to make a real impact in a fast-paced SME_ _ with _ _an _ inclusive, friendly culture, free from the 'red tape’ of a large corporation. They support people to achieve, and offer the opportunity to learn about all other areas of the business** - Experience in managing & growing business with major high street department stores. - Strong Commercial acumen and business awareness. - Track record in unlocking both branded and private label sales/profit growth. - A proven track record delivering results ahead of expectations. - Experience and ability to sell, negotiate and make things happen. - Ability to project manage, good understanding of retailer process & attention to detail. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Excellent organizational skills, being able to work on multiple projects at the same time - An entrepreneurial enterprise mindset that adds value to the wider business beyond the Sales function - a true team player who gets on with most people. - Experience of portfolio business working across multiple brands & large product ranges. - A positive "can-do" attitude and a desire to be part of a successful team. - Ability to think big, act fast, find a solution, and thrive on it. **_Additional attributes of benefit:_** - Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with frequent change. - Experience of interacting with Marketing on devising digital strategy. - A genuine interest in and knowledge of food and ingredients
