**Job Title**:Transport Co-ordinator/ Administrator (maternity cover)
**Reporting to**:Transport & Operations Manager
**Responsible for**:Contributing to the team in Doncaster to ensure customers are provided with a high-quality service which is managed efficiently and profitably whilst maintaining high levels of compliance in all activities.
**Main Purpose of Job**:
- Managing drivers’ daily workloads
- Transport compliance in accordance with the company’s Operators Licence obligations
- Comply with the site Environmental Permit and Waste Exemptions
- Manage & monitor efficient & cost-effective use of the vehicle fleet
- Operating the weighbridge (training will be provided)
- Resolving customer and account queries
- Manage all incoming & outgoing waste streams from site (including weighbridge), record promptly & accurately on a daily basis
- Providing customer support through managing the ‘enquiries’ mailbox, and incoming telephone calls
- Ensuring excellence in customer support
- Driving Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Accident reporting
- Vehicle route planning
- Line management of drivers and loaders
- Flexible start and finish times to ensure office cover 07:00 to 17:00
**Key Tasks**:
- Ensure vehicles are presented for inspections/MOT etc in accordance with transport compliance
- Comply with Operators licence undertakings with regards to record keeping of vehicles
- Control defects from submission to rectification
- Recording of driver hours by Tachomaster, downloading driver cards and vehicles within EU regulations
- Monitor the ‘enquiries’ inbox and receive incoming phone calls - deal with bookings/issues where possible and forward to colleagues where appropriate
- Liaise with drivers throughout the day to ensure collections are made in a timely and efficient manner
- Record keeping of incoming, outgoing & 3rd party disposal and collections
- Operating PurGo ERP waste management & recycling software system, to manage all waste collection and management processes required by the department, to include but not limited to, new contracts/customers, scheduling, routing, sequencing, billing, pricing and queries.
- Occasional out of hours on call duties where required
- Ensure sufficient stock of serviceable containers is available
- Communicating with external Disposal sites where operationally required
- Operate the weighbridge
- Setting up of roadside skip permits with the relevant councils prior to booking and adding charges to agreements
- Taking customer payments
- Ordering products for site e.g. Diesel, Add Blue and Gas
- Providing Weight and Job/Pricing reports for customers when requested
- Control of visitors and contractors to site, issuing site inductions, permits to work and completion of visitors sign in book
**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary
**Salary**: From £9.50 per hour
