**Key Responsibilities**:
- Proactively review and provide recommendations for H&S policies and processes.
- Provide H&S advice to staff at all levels, proactively making recommendations as the business grows to ensure H&S compliance.
- Keeping on top of H&S priorities, ensuring that resolutions are promptly implemented.
- Work with the HR team to develop processes from a H&S perspective.
- Manage the Health and Safety Officer supporting where needed with day-to-day H&S priorities, making sure that priorities are followed up efficiently.
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate risk assessments take place, overseeing H&S investigations and follow up actions when required.
- Develop and roll out training across the Company with appropriate materials.
- Holding H&S and wellbeing related group and one to one meetings with staff.
- Working with HR to implement a strategy for continual improvement in the Company's safety and wellbeing, performance, and practices.
- Maintain effective relationships internally and work towards raising the profile of health and safety.
- Communicating efforts the business is making in looking after the safety and wellbeing of the workforce.
- Staying up to date with H&S legislation.
- Conducting research and liaising with external companies as required.
**Key Skills and Experience**:
- Previous experience as a Health and Safety Manager (or similar) ideally covering both warehouse operations and office spaces.
- NEBOSH Qualified.
- Experience in developing safety handbooks, documentation and training tools.
- Strong people skills, with a genuine interest in training and coaching.
- Highly compliance-orientated, ethical and confidential.
- Confident decision maker with a solution orientated mind-set.
- Collaborative in approach, with the ability to get staff at all levels enthusiastic about health and safety.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- A Mental health first aid qualification would be desirable, but is not essential.
