**Warehouse Lead**

**Reports to**:Production Manager

**Direct Reports**:Warehouse Operators

**Job Purpose**

As Warehouse Lead you will lead a team of warehouse operatives ensuring all raw materials, work in progress and waste are dealt with in line with established processes. This role is hands on and operational, role modelling best practice in carrying out warehouse operator duties and setting the standards for the team.

You will be responsible for inventory control and stock-taking, working with procurement & supply chain to ensure visibility and accuracy of stock is maintained and that production can meet their demand and forecasted output.

You’ll use your great communication skills to keep your team and stakeholders updated on progress and highlight any issues to the Production Management Team.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Monitor standards and ensure that they are being maintained and processes are being adhered to consistently across the warehouse team
- “Water spider” operations, including materials, WIP, finished goods, and waste
- Stock Inventory Control
- Side Line Replenishment
- Goods in (Raw materials), Returns (Parts & Finished goods), Goods out (Finished goods)
- Quality inspection of goods received
- Managing Team, training & performance
- Monitoring of KPI’s for example DOS, space utilisation, out of stock, taking action if required
- Support with the logistics of receiving, warehousing & despatch operations
- Meeting regularly with warehouse team, operations, and procurement to assess, analyse and develop continuous improvement plans
- Participate in supplier review meetings when required
- Waste management in line with our corporate social responsibility targets
- Supervise and organise daily game plans for warehousing, inventory control, space management and logistics
- Support and maintain 5S and Health & Safety
- Daily inventory counts and end of month stock counting
- Experience of stock control and inventory
- Computer literacy including, Teams, Outlook and Excel
- A “One Team” mindset and great communication skills
- An organised and diligent approach
- A forklift licence

**It would be great if the postholder brought**:

- A health and safety qualification, IOSH, NEBOSH or similar
- Experience of resource planning software, we use NetSuite
- Line Management/Supervisory Experience
