Environmental Services Supervisor Sandwell

**Working Hours**: Shift work - To cover operational hours Monday - Friday 6am-5pm with weekend work on rotation

**Salary**: £30,771.71 + Overtime

Serco’s Environmental Services provide a complete waste and recycling service and street cleansing service on behalf of the residents of our local communities. With a professional, dedicated and friendly team of Refuse and Recycling and Street Cleansing staff,we ensure that streets, homes and businesses are kept clean, safe and tidy, whilst providing the very best levels of customer service to all members of the community that we serve. And right now, we have an opportunity for two like-minded individuals to joineither our Refuse and Recycling Team or Street Cleansing Team as supervisors to help us make a positive difference to the environment we all live and work in.

You will be the public face of Serco’s Environmental Services team in the community.??As a Supervisor, you will induct, manage, motivate and lead your team, ensure they understand their KPIs and support them in achieving these and contribute to a cultureof continuous improvement wherever possible. We are on the front line when it comes to making sure our community remains a beautiful, safe and clean place to live and work, a responsibility we take great pride in.

**What you’ll need to do the role**
To be considered for a position within our team,?you will have strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as be self-motivated with the willingness to undertake further training when required and work well within a team. You will be expected to besomeone who can demonstrate strong customer service skills and are happy in dealing with members of the public.

Previous experience within a Supervisor or Team Leader position is desireable as you will be using your motivational and co-ordinational skills to manage a team andidentify staff development opportunities. Previous experience of working within refuse collectionand street cleansing is also advantageous but not essential as all you will recieve all the training you need.

This role will require you to drive a vehicle so a full UK driving licence is essential.
