**Description**

**Senior Operational Risk and Compliance Analyst**:
The role covers a range of operational risk, compliance and control activities designed to identify and mitigate operational risk.
To provide assurance that both existing operations and new initiatives are being carried out in accordance with good practice and in line with agreed policies and procedures.
One of the key responsibilities is following up risk incidents to ensure that root causes are identified and mitigating actions are put in place to avoid re-occurrence.
- Deputise for the Operational Risk & Compliance Manager.
- Risk identification and reporting;
- Quarterly meetings on risk status, collating/investigation/recording of incidents.
- Follow up checks on mitigating actions, progress of audit actions.
- Investigation and analysis to raise risk and control awareness.
- Presenting reports and being an active member of the Operational Risk Committee.
- Developing a full understanding of the operational risk management system.
- Advising Project Managers of areas to prepare for and taking an active role in review and challenge of new initiatives.
- Carrying out compliance testing in relation to trading activity, adherence to policies and guidance, investigating and reporting of exceptions as necessary.

**Profile**

**Senior Operational Risk and Compliance Analyst**:

- Evidence of completing risk and control reviews, documenting findings and identifying improvements.
- Evidence of monitoring developments in risk management and regulatory practice, assessing potential impacts, and advising on necessary changes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to deal positively with internal and external stakeholders in a confident, well-reasoned manner.
- Be able to demonstrate successfully planning and coordinating the work of self and others.
- Familiarity with using risk management software and spreadsheets to maintain, manipulate and
present risk data.
- Evidence of working in a fast paced environment and managing competing priorities.

**Job Offer**

**Senior Operational Risk and Compliance Analyst**:

- Permanent
- £55,000-£60,000
- City of London office
- 36 hours per week (excluding lunch breaks)
