Emergency Care Locums can offer regular **Healthcare Assistant (HCA) shifts across the South West of England**.
**You must have UK Right to Work and relevant experience to be considered.**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assisting with daily living activities such as eating, showering and using the toilet
- Utilising equipment to move patients when necessary
- Taking the patient’s vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature
- Observing patient’s condition and recording information
- Talking to patients and reassuring them
- Attending meetings with other healthcare professionals
- Assisting nurses and other staff when needed
- Adhering to professional standards
- Delivering reports to Case Managers and reviewing any important changes in the patient’s condition
**Essential Qualifications & Experience**:
- Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently
- Clear verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information
- Excellent customer service skills
- The ability to work well with their hands
- Capability to accept criticism
- The ability to work well with others
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Ability to work effectively within a team while also demonstrating initiative in patient care.
- Compassionate approach with strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy towards patients' experiences.
- **At least 6 months' experience as Healthcare Assistant (within the last 3 years).**:
- Diploma in Health & Social Care Level 2 or 3
- Care Certificate
- UK right to work.
- Enhanced DBS clearance required.

**How to Apply**
