An exciting opportunity has arisen within our East Sussex Substance Misuse Services to recruit a Treatment link Worker (FTC 2 years) who will work across thier own patch of Sussex healthcare system including pharmacies, hospital hepatitus C team, testing & linking people into treatment for hep c and substance misuse service.
**Responsibilities**:
With the role you’ll be working as part of the wider with CGL & NHS Sussex ODN hepatitus C team based across East Sussex and can be based out of either our Eastbourne or Hastings hubs.
The CGL teams supports people with their or their loved ones drug and/or alcohol issues & the NHS Sussex ODN team treat people with hepatitus C.
No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.
The role includes setting up & running hepatitus C testing events in local pharamcies and referring those who are diagnosed of having an active infection into specilist NHS hep c nurse team for treatment, also referring people who want support for substance misuse into CGL.
You will also work closely alongside team members from the hepatitus C trust and members from the Sussex NHS operational delivery network hepatitus C team.
Alongside testing people for hep c who access needle exchange in local pharmacies You will also provide harm reduction advice and information.
You’ll have to record information about what you do, so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important. But most of the time you’ll be enjoying working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives.
