Petrofac is to hire for the position of “Medic/HSE Adviser” covering the 5th week gap for 6 medics across 3 offshore assets - Liverpool Bay.

**JOB TITLE: MEDIC / HSE ADVISER**
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Provide HSE and professional medical assistance for the OSI and ensure all statutory offshore HSE and medical requirements are met.
- Operate and manage OSI personnel tracking, accommodation administration and Heli-operations including Flightwatch.
- Ensure full compliance with Company HSE and Health Management Standards, Company HSE policies and practices, and applicable regulations.
- Support HSE performance against agreed KPIs and reporting as appropriate.
- Support Hazops/Hazids/Workplace Risk Assessments / toolbox talks as and when required
- Participate actively in incident reporting and incident investigation,
- good housekeeping, control and minimization of waste.
- Participate/lead HSE audits, HSE inspections and STOP tours as directed by line manager.
- Be aware of, understanding and complying with company and statutory requirements, e.g., COSHH, movement of toxic and hazardous materials and substances.
- Perform the necessary occupational hygiene monitoring (including but not limited to: Noise, Vibration, Benzene, legionella, water, catering), implementing control measures and perform the reporting.
- Contribute to the Installation’s safety effectiveness through continuous improvements in procedures and work practices.
- Report all HSE incidents to line manager and company as per procedure, including entry into the HSE incidents reporting system (INDACO)
- Ensure that medical equipment and medications inventory is maintained in good working order.
- Ensure that any medical equipment defects are immediately brought to the attention of management so that steps can be instigated to remedy the defect or take the equipment out of service until repaired or made safe.
- Participate in health audits and health inspections as required.
- Maintain documents relating to medical support, medical emergency and occupational health issues in accordance with the company’s Health and HSE management system.
- Oversee hygiene standards in the galley and living quarters to ensure the correct standards are met.
- Perform all the necessary activities for the design, implementation and monitoring and reporting of the Health Management System.
- Monitoring & Reporting health activities to ensure timely execution.
- Support Operations Teams tasks, monitor execution and integrate output into health activities.
- In the event of an emergency, carries out such duties as identified in the emergency response procedure.
- Coordinate drug testing/substance abuse monitoring in line with Company procedures as required.
- Provide medical assistance and support as required by statutory regulations and for the well-being of the installation personnel.
- Ensure all assigned work is completed accurately and within required timescales.
- Ensure all relevant medical and related records and information held on the installation, including, but not limited to, Drugs usage log and Accident Book, are readily available to visiting third parties and statutory bodies.
- Support welfare campaign(s) to promote the well-being of offshore personnel.
- Provide First Aid Training to Emergency Response Teams
- Provide the necessary care for stabilization, transportation/escorting of urgent patients from the site to onshore / hospital for medical attention.
- Coordinate the necessary actions for further specialized medical attention.
- Operate and manage OSI personnel tracking, accommodation administration and Heli-operations including Flightwatch and compilation of reports and records.
