Hybrid working with on average of 5 days per fortnight in our Head Office (Leek, Staffordshire) based on team rotation and the remaining time remotely. To commence after the completion of required training period.

**Working hours**:21 hours per week worked over 3 days, Saturday mornings may be required on occasions

**Job Purpose & Scope**
To work as part of the Savings Department with responsibility for ensuring savings accounts, including digital accounts, are administered accurately, in a timely manner, are compliant and in line with the Societys policies/procedures and service level agreements. All activities must be delivered whilst offering exceptional levels of service to customers, other departments and branches over the telephone or through written correspondence.
**Duties and Key Responsibilities**
Breakdown of tasks to be completed under the main areas of work.
Main areas of work
Customer Service
- Deal accurately and efficiently with Savings enquiries from customers, other Society Departments, other financial services organisations, branches over the telephone and by correspondence, whether by post or electronically.
- To accurately process and administer Savings accounts in line with customer instructions and the Societys processes and policies.
- To co-ordinate and process mailings to customers in an accurate and timely manner.
- To keep abreast of changes in Savings accounts, procedures and regulation.
- To carry out any duties that may reasonably be required.
- To achieve individual objectives, supporting the achievement of Savings Department objectives and thereby contributing to the overall success of the Society.
Risk Management
- To adhere to the Societys policies and procedures at all times to mitigate risk.
- To Identify and report risk events in accordance with the Risk Management Policy.
- To comply with all Leek Building Society policies and regulatory requirements.
- To understand the importance of a risk culture as it applies to the Savings Assistant role.

**Person Specification**
**Qualifications & Knowledge**
- Knowledge of Word/Excel is desirable, but not essential.
**Experience**
- Experience of contributing effectively to a team.
- Experience of working in a customer service environment.
- Experience of working to challenging objectives is desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience of working in a financial services environment is desirable, but not essential.
**Skills & Abilities**
- Good level of numeracy and literacy skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and use own initiative.
- Ability to take a proactive approach to work.
**Other Requirements**
- Travel to other business locations when required
- Flexibility around working hours and Saturday mornings may be required on occasions
