A **Experienced Project Manager** is required to work for a construction company based in the Newbury area with clients throughout southern and home counties. Working across a diverse range of sectors from small, individual developments rightthrough to major design and build contracts, specialise in delivering quality projects, with a reputation that is built on combining first-class service with quality workmanship and take pride in achieving the very highest levels of customer satisfaction.

Throughout the years, this privately-owned construction company has drawn on the expert knowledgeand experience of its staff to grow and expand into new industry sectors, including commercial, education, social housing, leisure, healthcare, and retail. Now a well-respected, construction company with a £50 million pound turnover.

**Project Manager duties**

The successful Project Manager Would be site-based lead on projects £10m - £17m with subordinate SM(s), working with a Contract Manager and responsible to Construction Director on a new build Boarding Accommodation for a school currently in the design phaseand building a Science Research Facility, working with Steel frame, cladding etc.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
- Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
- Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
- Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
- Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues

**Project Manager Requirements**
- Proven experience as construction project manager
- Experience in any of the following, commercial, education, social housing, leisure, healthcare, and retail sectors is highly beneficial.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
- Familiarity with construction/ project management software
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills / A team player with leadership abilities
- Relevant Education / Qualifications HND, HNC, Degree or equivalent

**Project Manager Remuneration Package**
- Salary £60,000 - £80,000
- Car or Car allowance
- Private Medical care
- Pension scheme

- Performance related bonuses
