Workforce Business Partner

We have a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Workforce Development Partner to join us here at the Social Interest Group. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established People and Culture team with strong opportunities to grow and develop within the role. The Workforce Development Partner will be responsible for:
- Owning the development of the flexi-time staff recruitment, talent pool and management (inclusive of bank/relief workers, agency staff, internal overtime)
- Minimise spend on the flexi-time workforce through effective recruitment and deployment, reduction of agency costs, effective Preferred Suppliers Lists (PSL), and the management of the flexi-time talent pool
- Contribute to the wider Recruitment and Development needs of SIG through participating in value-adding projects and workstreams across recruitment, deployment, retention and learning & development, promoting SIGs vision, culture and philosophy to engage and attract a high calibre of talent and retention of talent
This role is intended to currently sit within the People & Culture team, but is a matrix partnership working role working collaboratively and constructively with Operations, People & Culture, and Quality teams and other key stakeholders to support the wider organisation.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Actively recruit and develop flex-time staff in matrix partnership across the organisation, seeking out innovative, creative and effective ways of recruiting a flexible workforce and integrating them into the organisational deployment processes
- Manage and improve upon the current flexi-time talent pool selection process, looking to digitalise and remove manual processes to improve efficiency
- Work in partnership to design, understand and meet workforce staffing levels across vacancies, succession planning, development pathways, and incoming new business
- To oversee and manage the recruitment administration and screening processes for flexi-time workers as appropriate, ensuring all compliance, best practice, legislation, and policy and procedure is adhered to
- Promote the usage of SIG flexi-time talent pool across the Group, building positive and constructive relationships with internal stakeholders to meet their service requirements and maximise their staffing budget
- Support the initial and ongoing development and training of flexi-time workers, contributing to their learning pathways and delivery of relevant sessions
- Maximise and support the development of rostering, workforce deployment and learning & development tools, software and programmes, to achieve the aims of the role and the Group in its talent management.
**Skills Required**:
- Level 5 CIPD qualified, or demonstrated working towards or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within an in-house recruitment function
- An understanding of the health and social care workforce needs and demands
- Working knowledge of and ability to maximise usage of HR databases and applicant tracking systems as well as manual recruitment and onboarding processes
- Must be able to demonstrate strong negotiating and influencing skills
- Innovative, creative and commercially focused, with the ability to understand budgets and financial impacts
All successful applicants will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check and provide employment references covering the last 5 years period including one from your most recent employer.
