Senior Kitchen Porter needed

Hours: Wednesday - Sunday (Guaranteed Mondays and Tuesdays off)

**The Perks**: Competitive hourly rate. Closed Sunday night, Monday and Tuesday. Christmas day, Boxing day and bank holiday Mondays off. Great share of tips (averaging £2.50 extra per hour.) Staff meals provided.

The Barrington Boar is a country pub and restaurant with rooms, offering Modern British cooking and refined comfort food in the heart of the South Somerset countryside. Situated in the picturesque village of Barrington, nestled between Langport and Ilminster, and close to Taunton and Yeovil.

The pub’s fate took an exciting turn in June 2018 with the arrival of husband and wife team, Alasdair Clifford and Victoria Collins, who have reimagined the pub’s offering and created a restaurant that is both casual and contemporary. The kitchen is run by Alasdair who grew up locally and has over ten years experience working in Michelin starred restaurants, including Chez Bruce, Harwood Arms and The Glasshouse.

The Barrington Boar are excited to be offering a senior kitchen assistant position at their busy and successful restaurant in Barrington, Somerset. The Boar has been gaining a strong reputation for amazing food and great service and need people to join their growing team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to help with basic kitchen food preparation, training junior members of kitchen porter staff, managing the pot wash section and to assist in the day to day cleaning schedule of the kitchen. Must be committed and able to work flexible hours. Must have own transport.

Part-time hours: 30 hours minimum per week
