**JOB TITLE**: Credit Controller

**LOCATION**: Ilminster, Somerset

**SALARY**:£19,500 - £23,500 PA (DOE)

**HOURS**:Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4.30pm or 8:30am - 5:00pm

**THE ROLE**: A rare and exciting opportunity to join a friendly, welcoming Credit Control department who are looking for a process driven and well organised individual to join them. You will become part of an established and specialist companywho produce high spec products. Reporting to the Finance Manager you will work within a small team who are responsible for all matters relating to credit control.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Communicating with customers on all matters relating to credit control and effective resolution of customer queries
- Releasing of customer orders on hold in-line with company policies and communicating with customers in a timely manner where it is not possible to release orders due to credit issues
- Allocating payments received by customers and the follow up of overdue invoices
- Reconciliation of customer accounts as required
- Assisting the sales teams and customer services department regarding customer accounts
- Working closely with the senior credit controller to ensure the efficient running of the credit control function
- Other general duties as necessary

- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good numeracy skills
- Confident telephone manner with excellent communication skills
- Willingness to learn new processes
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to prioritise own workload
