This is a role where you will be able to utilise your relationship building skills across a range of stakeholders, along with managing the development of Education Scotland’s Health, Safety and Sustainability Management System.**

The Facilities Team are responsible for leading on all health and safety matters and promoting a safe working environment for all staff as well as managing the on-going maintenance and upkeep of Education Scotland's estate to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation and relevant standards. In this role, you will also manage the relevant facilities contracts to ensure the effective and consistent provision of services in Education Scotland buildings.

This post is a great opportunity to work at the centre of Education Scotland at a hugely exciting time as we deliver on our enhanced remit. This role can be based out of one of our Education Scotland office locations in Glasgow, Livingston, Inverness, Dundee or Aberdeen.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the development of Education Scotland's Health, Safety and Sustainability Management System to provide a framework for the on-going management and improvement of the health and safety, environmental and business continuity aspects of Education Scotland's operations.
- Manage the on-going maintenance and upkeep of Education Scotland's estate, ensuring compliance with all applicable legislation and any other relevant standards.
- Manage relevant facilities contracts to ensure the effective and consistent provision of services in Education Scotland buildings. Ensure appropriate standards in facilities services are delivered.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement strategies for goods and services to ensure best value is delivered.
- Provide advice and guidance on health and safety, environmental management and business continuity issues.
- Ensure Education Scotland can meet its statutory reporting obligations in respect of its estate operations; including the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme and Public Bodies Climate Change Duties.
