Bookkeeper/ Finance Administrator

Oversee the daily operations of the financial department

Prepare financial statements and reports for management

Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and receivable

Reconcile bank statements and other financial records

Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes

Monitor and analyse financial data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement

Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures

Assist with audits and tax filings as needed

Weekly and monthly bookkeeping using Xero

Quarterly VAT returns

Process payments to invoices, expenses, and receipts, enter data into accounting software and then file hard copies

Dealing with foreign currency transactions and currency exchanges

Invoice allocation

Self-assessment tax returns (training can be provided for this)

Payroll for a small number of monthly payrolls, verified and submitted to HMRC

Pension filling with NEST in a timely manner

Produce the Management reports monthly to include sales, debtors, creditors, profit and loss, bank balances, and current work-in-progress (WIP). You will also need to produce financial information to management as required.

General administration

**Requirements**:
AAT or qualified by experience

Competent and accurate processor of financial transactions

Experience within professional practice

Strong IT skills and proficient in the use of Xero

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Microsoft Office 365, mainly Outlook, Word, Excel & Access

Organisation skills and structured approach to workload are essential in this very fast paced and demanding environment with ever changing priorities

Flexibility, a clear enthusiasm, and attention to detail are also essential

Ability to take responsibility for managing and prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines

Accurate, methodical and inquisitive approach to work

Motivated and highly effective whether working independently or as part of a team

Strong communicator with confidence to support multiple business partners at all levels of the business

Team player

**Skills**:
Proficient in using accounting software Xero

Strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and meet very tight deadlines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: Up to £18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
